Casino News: Bodog Set to Bite with New Licenses and Marketing Campaign
Great news for lovers of online gaming in the United Kingdom: edgy, quirky casino brand Bodog looks set to launch a whole suite of new services. The incentive is backed by a multi-million pound marketing push, as Bodog attempts to grab an even larger share of the rapidly growing sports-betting and UK online casino market.
The Gambling Commission recently granted Bodog three new licences, which will allow it to set up a new UK entity. One of these licenses covers horse racing, alongside extra online casino services including live dealers. Online gaming companies in the United Kingdom are experiencing a boom right now, with rivals including William Hill, Ladbrokes and Betfair.
Bodog currently employs around 20 in its marketing team, which will be doubled to cope with the expansion. To aid with the advertising campaigns, new creative agencies are also being sought.
If you have ever watched West Bromwich Albion play, you will see that Bodog sponsors them -- currently, this is the only UK marketing that the casino brand carries out.
Ever since former marketing guru of Visa and Sony Ericsson, Dee Dutta was appointed to chief marketing officer at Bodog, things have started to look good.
He said, “ The UK is the largest regulated market in the world today and we want to be part of that. The decision was not taken on market share. The key thing is to develop trust with the UK customer. This is one of the most important things for the industry.”
He also felt that the online casino services of Bodog deserved extra special attention, as they are a “hugely neglected part of the online gaming space despite being the highest profit generator by far”.
