Casino News: Delegates Gather in Brussels for Responsible Gaming Day
October 19 marked an important day in the online gambling industry. The European Gaming and Betting Association (EGBA) met in Brussels for Responsible Gaming Day. The day was showcased in style as online bingo operators, online casino operators, sportsbooks and affiliated organisations rallied to publicise betting in a secure and reliable manner. EGBA provides lengthy guidelines to enable operators to provide their members with responsible gaming. Methods include affiliation with registered authorities, preventing underage gambling, social responsibility, and self-exclusion features.
The conference, in Brussels, saw legislators, governing bodies, and gaming aficionados get together to discuss some of the most important issues in gaming today. One issue discussed was the merits of the European Commission’s Green Paper on Online Gaming. This was the fourth annual Responsible Gaming Day and conversations focused almost solely on the proposed legal framework for the EU’s gambling activity.
