Casino News: Spreadex Joins the Online Casino Market
Online casinos continue to sprout up at an exceptional rate, despite the economic downturn. Spreadex, a spread betting firm based in the United Kingdom, is the latest to join the market, having recently launched a brand-new online casino. Powered by Chartwell Games, a subsidiary of Amaya Gaming Group, the move considerably expands the company’s product range.
Spreadex already offers a variety of services including fixed odds sports betting, financial trading, and spread betting. The launch of the casino was announced last month.
“This is the latest in a series of new features we have introduced to our customers following our iPhone financial spread betting application in August and our Mobile Sports Betting Platform and sports fixed odds offering last year,” said Andy MacKenzie, a spokesperson for Spreadex.
“New customer numbers as well as bet levels have been fantastic so far this year and we’re hoping the casino product will help to keep business strong before a planned revamp of our financial spread betting platform in early 2012.
Spreadex players will now be able to participate in live dealer casino featuring real-life croupiers, table games like roulette and craps, poker, baccarat and blackjack, plus scratchcards, slots, video poker and more.
So far, Spreadex has had an incredibly successful year, with profits doubling to around £11 million in May. Indeed, the company recorded its largest ever volume of sports bets in August, despite the worldwide stock markets crash. The company is also launching a smart phone spread betting app.
