With a name like Scorching Slots, it’s difficult to guess what the concept of this new online casino will be. Fortunately, you don’t have to concern about that for long, because this is a Nektan site, so it doesn’t really have one, they never really have one. 

There’s a popular old story about a man with a broom, who has had that broom for many years, has changed the handle several times, and the brush several times (those being the only two parts of a broom) but still classifies it as the same broom. Nektan do the opposite of this in the iGaming world, the parts are all the same, but there’s a different name on it so we’re supposed to consider it as a different site, despite the games, layout, and promotions being, in most cases, identical across Nektan sites. 

So, Scorching Slots joins the market as another clone of its network siblings, a site that has nothing fresh about it except for its name, and probably a logo that represents the ‘concept’. At least, that’s what we expect from a new Nektan site, but it isn’t fair to just assume, we’ve been surprised before, maybe we will again?

Does Scorching Slots flip the script and bring a whole new feel to Nektan sites? In a word, no. 

Design and theme

To be fair, there is one exception to the rule with Scorching Slots, the logo design doesn’t actually appear to have anything to do with the name of the site. 

After a surprising amount of research, we discovered that the logo is a dragon’s eye, and the concept is loosely based on dragons and treasure, meaning the ‘Scorching’ of the title refers to the fiery breath of the dragon, maybe. It doesn’t really matter, there’s no chance you could work this out based on the design anyway.  Design is a strong word anyway, basically there’s the eye in the logo, then some rocks and some smoke, and that’s it, the rest is up to you. This is, however, the most interesting part of the Scorching Slots, because it all gets very Nektan after that point. 

You know the layout if you’ve ever seen a Nektan site before, it makes navigation simple enough, especially if you have played at its sister sites, as even the thumbnails on the homepage are in the same place. 

It’s difficult to find anything unique to say about how Nektan sites look at this point, `and that feels unfair, but at the same time, if you’re going to release site after site that look basically the same as each other, what are we supposed to do?

One thing that can never be taken away from Nektan, regardless of how frustratingly repetitive their sites are, is that there is always a plethora of top-quality games to enjoy at their sites, and that remains true here.
