TLCBet Casino Review
TLC Bet Casino review
It is always difficult for a brand known more for sports betting to make the transition into the online casino world. Granted, it is also an assistance to have a name with gravitas over your casino, but that’s relying on the fact that people even know you have a casino, and don’t just attach your name purely to the sports betting world. This is a problem shared by a few sites, one of which is TLCBet, which may have even more of an uphill struggle due to the presence of the word ‘bet’ in its name, therefore making the site feel more like a place for sports betting, and less like a hub of online casino options. However, as has been proven by the likes of Ladbrokes, one can make the transition and become well known as an online casino while also simultaneously running a successful sports betting arm, and that’s what TLC Bet is going to have to try and do, but it’s far from easy.
The online casino market is outrageously competitive, and full of so many options, that to stand out amongst its rivals, TLC Bet is going to have to bring something special, in fact, it’ll have to bring a fair few special things!
Design and theme
The first issue that TLC Bet has in terms of design is the ability to switch between sports betting and casino. It may seem like a useful tool, and I’m sure the designers were very happy with it, but, to be honest, it cheapens the effect of both. By not feeling like there is a separate site for each of the two very different betting outlets, TLC Bet just feels a bit like it doesn’t do either of them very well. That being said, if you just look at the casino half of the site as a standalone online casino site, it isn’t too bad.
There are thumbnails for some of the most popular games on the site, something that has proven to be a popular addition at many sites, and the black background allows these thumbnails to lead the colour scheme, which is attractive, but perhaps a little more than a solid black background would’ve looked more attractive, while still not making the design too invasive for players.
Navigation is simple enough here as well, not the best, but not bad. That’s pretty much the sense of the design here, it’s okay, it’s just very hard to get in any way excited about.
Games
If you’re trying to make a name for yourself on the highly competitive online casino market, you need to offer a wide range of gaming options, not only in terms of the games themselves, but also with an array of different software providers.
Unfortunately, TLC casino doesn’t quite fulfil this necessity, with games being provided by Amaya, Microgaming, NextGen Gaming and Multislot. This isn’t a terrible mix of software developers, it just simply isn’t enough range to compete with the host of other sites who offer considerably more variety than you’ll find at TLC Bet Casino.
There are decent games here, for example slots fans will find the likes of Hitman, Bar Bar Black Sheep, and Lost Vegas, whereas table and card game lovers can play several different varieties of video poker, as well as roulette, blackjack, and baccarat.
It isn’t that TLC Bet casino is doing anything wrong ads a casino site, it just isn’t doing enough. A few more software providers, and a fair bit more attention paid to the design here, and this site could become substantially more competitive.
