Rank Group is a multi-channel gaming operator working predominantly in the iGaming market.
Founded in 1995, Rank Group was originally a company that worked in the cinema and motion picture industry, and their logo of the Gongman that they still use today, carries over from that time.

In 2006, Rank sold off Deluxe Film, formally known as Rank Film Laboratories, for £400 million, following their separating from their interests in Universal Studios, and therefore effectively cutting their ties to the film industry.
Focus then shifted over to Rank Leisure, focusing on the big-name casinos brands that Rank has.
It’s difficult to find success in the gambling industry, but Rank’s ability to do so is proven by the names they have in their portfolio, specifically Grosvenor Casinos and Mecca Bingo, two of the biggest names in land based gambling in the UK and beyond.
In May 2012, Rank attempted to purchase 23 casinos from Gala Coral for a cost of over £200 million. However, this deal was stopped by the Competition Commission, who ordered four venues to be excluded, meaning that Rank instead bought 19 casinos for £179 million. This made Rank the largest casino operator in the UK.
Land based venues may still be a large part of the Rank portfolio, but they have also made the necessary moves into the rapidly growing iGaming world, renewing their contract with Mecca Bingo in 2017, guaranteeing another 10 years of Playtech’s revolutionary Virtue Fusion platform at the bingo site.
Rank also owns enRacha, which is an interactive gaming site launched in 2011 that is aimed at the Spanish market, offering card games, slots, and more, assisting with the expansion of the Rank brand into other parts of Europe.
Rank made a move to a new technology platform in 2015, supplied by Bede Gaming, which offers greater control, flexibility, and speed to content and functionality.
